Jonalex Herrera and Liz Pasillas went on NetNoticias' En 15 La Entrevista to argue that virtual, augmented and mixed reality belong in industrial training for practical reasons, not futuristic ones.

The interview treated immersive technology as infrastructure for learning rather than a finish applied to an innovation budget. The argument the pair made on air is the one the company still makes: when an organisation needs its people to retain a procedure, take less risk and train the same way twice, an immersive environment creates conditions a classroom struggles to reproduce.

The interview ran within the [NetNoticias](https://netnoticias.mx/) media ecosystem, and the company's own account of it is still up as [the original New Discovery publication](https://newdiscovery.agency/new-discovery-agency-on-en-15-la-entrevista/).

## Rehearse the dangerous part _before it counts._

Herrera described VR as a controlled environment where a worker can run through a critical procedure before performing it in the real world. That matters most in manufacturing and healthcare, where a mistake carries operational cost rather than an embarrassing retry. Pasillas took the other side of the problem — access — and pointed out that AR turns a phone or a tablet into the training surface, so participation stops depending on a headset per person.

Read together, the two arguments are about deployment. A company does not adopt these tools because they are futuristic. It adopts them because they improve retention, standardise instruction and take friction out of training teams that are spread across sites.

## Where they said _it was heading._

The pair also pointed at what came next: pairing immersive environments with AI so simulations become easier to build, manage and scale. That was aimed at organisations that did not want to stop at a single pilot — the usual fate of a VR project bought as an experiment.

## The work _behind the argument._

[Johnson & Johnson](https://newdiscovery.agency/case-studies/johnson-johnson/) is immersive training inside a medically sensitive operation; [Trainlight](https://newdiscovery.agency/case-studies/trainlight/) is the same practice turned into a product; and the insights on [industrial VR, AR and MR training](https://newdiscovery.agency/insights/industrial-vr-ar-mr-training-communication/) and [VR training for industrial teams](https://newdiscovery.agency/insights/vr-training-industrial-teams-deployment-roi/) take the interview's claims as far as deployment and return.
