New Discovery Agency’s film production unit (New Discovery Film) has been instrumental in capturing these stories through the camera.
Using Virtual Reality Technology
The project uses virtual reality technology to create a high-impact sensory experience, allowing viewers to empathize with the migrant experience. The interviews with migrant groups in Ciudad Juarez are recorded in a studio. They will be edited during the post-production phase. The final content will be distributed across various platforms and social networks, reaching a broad audience.
Bridging Different Cultures and Communities
But Ruta Norte: Identidad Fronteriza is more than just a collection of anecdotes. It’s an opportunity to approach and bridge the physical distance between different cultures and communities. New Discovery Agency’s involvement in the project has been critical. Their film production unit, New Discovery – Film, has documented the behind-the-scenes and segmented interviews in the studio. The team is currently in the post-production phase, and selecting and editing the most compelling stories to share.
The documentary is expected to be released in 2021. It promises to be a groundbreaking work that will shed light on the human side of migration.
