The Anderson Abruzzo Albuquerque International Balloon Museum/Balloon Fest is a non-profit organization located in Las Cruces, New México. This organization is dedicated to hot air balloons exhibition and counts with an annual event called Balloon Fest in which people assist to watch the hot air balloons take off.
Due to the Covid-19 contingency, the Anderson Abruzzo Albuquerque International Balloon Museum could not perform its annual event Balloon Fest. The client arrived with a concrete idea of developing an app that could take this long-awaited event to the comfort of their audience’s home.
Approach
As New Discovery Agency, we used one of our three business units, New Discovery – Tech, offering to the client an Augmented Reality app focused on solving their specific needs. This app allows the audience to see its hot air balloon, customize it, rotate it, and launch it as if they were in the Balloon Fest in real life. At the same time, this app counts with tools to support the museum’s growth, as the emails capture to develop a database for the content of interest and event promotion diffusion and a section where the audience can donate to support this non-profit organization.
Work
We delivered an Augmented Reality app, available for iOS and Android operating systems of the Anderson Abruzzo Albuquerque International Balloon Museum. This app allowed them to take the “Balloon Fest” to their target audience without risking their community health. This app has had an optimum performance and has been a discussion topic of local newspapers allowing New Discovery Agency to work in the “Balloon Fest” once again.
