In June 2021 part of the New Discovery team sat in a workshop on the "reconversion" of the Paso del Norte innovation and technology ecosystem, run alongside its client Chihuahua Global.
The groups in the room each presented what they had been building: SWMA, Frente Norte, CODER, CONREDES, the labour-competitiveness group, CIITA, the I.A. Center and DECJ's indicators project among them. Chihuahua Global's goal for the day was to understand what those ecosystems can actually do, and to turn the region's differentiators into an offer that attracts foreign investment.
The client relationship behind it is the Chihuahua Global case study. Several of the organisations at that table show up later in the company's own record: Frente Norte as a partner in the AI Fluency program, and the ecosystem work that eventually produced the Smart Tech Alliance.
