On the morning of July 21, 2020, Liz Pasillas and Jonalex Herrera went on Chihuahua Adelante, the live programme of the state's governor, Javier Corral, to talk about Ruta Norte: Identidad Fronteriza.
The documentary was being built in virtual reality, around the testimony of people who had migrated through the border. It was made with support from the state's EKÁ Naweame cultural stimulus, and the company BRP backed it.
The premiere came that December, and BRP attended the opening. The finished work is the Ruta Norte case study.
