In July 2020, NET Noticias ran a special report on New Discovery Media: seven years after the company was founded in Miami in 2013, and one year after it started operating in Ciudad Juárez.

The anniversary fell in the middle of the pandemic year, with the company's projects split between finished work, work in progress, and the virtual-reality documentary that would open that December. "We are celebrating with projects done and projects under way," was how Liz Pasillas put it when she shared the piece.

The 2019 move is the line the company's own history turns on. El Diario covered it that December, listing the industrial marketing, the augmented-reality training apps and Ruta Norte among what was being built in Juárez.
