Babson College announced its 2018 WIN Lab Miami cohort on October 2, 2018: eighteen founders chosen for a five-month accelerator for women entrepreneurs. Lizeth Pasillas Trevizo, co-founder and COO of New Discovery Media, was one of them.

WIN Lab, short for Women Innovating Now, is the venture program Babson College runs for women founders. It came to Miami with $800,000 from the Knight Foundation, and the 2018 cohort was backed by the Knight Foundation, FedEx and Akerman LLP, Babson's announcement said. The founders came from fintech, food, education, fashion and travel. Babson described New Discovery Media as a "multimedia content production house that helps artists and brands connect with audiences by blending storytelling, technology, and creativity."

The pitch she wrote put immersive experiences at the centre.

Pasillas's pitch script for the program set out the company's mission as helping brands connect with their audiences through virtual and augmented reality experiences that let people live and feel a product. As traction it named 360° concert experiences for Cultura Profética, Molotov and El Tri, and a brand activation for The Silence Project, the photographer Flor Mayoral's work then being exhibited in Cuba. Jonalex Herrera was listed as the company's CTO and creative director.

Pasillas had announced her selection on September 19, 2018, describing WIN Lab as a program for high-growth women entrepreneurs that "recognizes that women build businesses differently". She later called it the WIN Lab's third cohort. The founders met for their first sessions in October 2018. It followed CREATE at Miami Dade College in 2017 and the Startup Nation Conference in February 2018.
